Delta 8 THC has taken the cannabis world by storm. It is being viewed as an alternative to Delta 9 THC and its restrictive use. Delta 8 THC has been popularized by people suffering from anxiety, chronic pain, or who are just looking for a way to relax. It is characterized by a subdued effect that produces euphoric feelings.

What is Delta-8 THC and how can it be used?

Delta 8 THC can be described as a compound derived from hemp plants that contain less than 0.3% THC. It is only one of many cannabinoids that are naturally found in hemp plants, but it is small enough to need to be extracted. Delta 9 THC, found in abundance in cannabis plants, is the closest comparable, which is considered to be a controlled substance that many people are more familiar with.

Delta 8 is made from two components of cannabis, CBD and THC. CBD is not addictive and has health benefits. THC has been shown to give people the “high” associated with conventional cannabis.

Delta 9 is most commonly known as the cannabinoid THC. This is partly due to the fact that Delta 9 is more common in cannabis plants. Delta 9 has a stronger high and is, therefore, more potent. Users report that Delta 8 can, however, produce the same general sensation of euphoria as Delta 9 and other cannabis strains but is far less potent.

Although they may look similar, Delta-8 THC and Delta-9 THC are different in that one thing causes them to have distinct effects. This chemical structure difference results from a slight shift in the positioning of the double bond between two carbon atoms. But, for Delta 8 users, it causes a milder effect.

Delta 8 THC has not been given much attention as it is a new substance. It is not yet covered by any regulations or laws in most jurisdictions. However, because it is still relatively new, it is also easier to get than Delta 9.

Do you Get High with Delta 8?

Delta 8 can technically make you “high”, but not enough to render you incapable of doing daily tasks. Delta 8 distillate is not as popular as its counterpart. It produces mild side effects once you have ingested it. While side effects are similar to THC in conventional forms, they are less severe than the Delta 9 effects.

Users report it is possible to get high but it requires a lot more to experience a high comparable to Delta 9, which makes it more appropriate for people who are more casual users.

What are Delta 8’s Benefits?

Delta-8 is very similar in its general composition to Delta 9, and offers similar benefits to CBD products (another cannabidiol-derived substance), but does not give you a high. There are a few side effects associated with Delta-8 distillate but most are positive. Below are some benefits of using delta-8 THC products.
